Josephus Thimister - Bloodshed and opulence

Josephus Thimister inspired me with his 'bloodshed and opulence' collection because his message he wanted to convey was that people have still not healed over war.
I chose to look at Josephus Thimister work because I thought his collection of fashion was effective by having the war tied into fashion industry. I was also inspired by Josephus thimister because
In 1991, Thimister advanced toward Balenciaga where he would hold the position as artistic director of luxury women’s clothing and accessories for over half a decade. It was said that at Balenciaga, he contributed through his minimalist style and great skills in cutting in modernizing the house's image.

After spending nearly six years with Balenciaga, Josephus Thimister began to design for the Italian ready-to-wear label Genny in 1998. Alongside Genny, Thimister readapted classic military coats and bias-cut gowns; synthesizing dramatic, long leather skirts with elegant crisp cotton-glazed shirts. His designs showed a different approach of the art, demonstrating his individuality among the established couture names. This inspired me because Balenciaga is one of my favourite designers and to know that he has contributed with Balenciaga in 1990's is really inspiring.

All ideas put together for war

This image is showing all my concepts and ideas out together as one and i done this because it shows all the techniques i have used such as doing cover magazines, bag designs which was my favourite, inspiration boards also adapted poems about lost loved ones.
This image is showing all my inspiration and all my ideas as one, the board is showing different colours and techniques because i wanted to adopt to a bigger audience which was to awareness public in a fashionable way and i believe it was successful because it variety of people from the fashion industry, general public, people who follow war charities also many more.

Bag designs with magazine covers

This image is showing my 3 bag design ideas developed from my inspiration. The message coming across in these bags is that i want the public to realise that while we are living our normal day lives we should be remembering the lost and the troops that are still fighting for us therefore i designed 3 bags to get the word out but i targeted it in a fashionable conscious way therefore the fashion designers can be aware of the world around us than just using military clothing for a 'collection' . My final decision  was the first one because i believed that it had a lot to tell in the picture because it told a story.

This 4 images are showing a variety of advertisement and i done this because i wanted to show my target audience how my bag can be converted into other things such as on a cover magazine, the names like Dazed and confused, GQ. I am showing my bag being modelled therefore it has been put in a fashionable conscious way so the fashion industry can collaborate with focusing on how important war was and still is.

The concept boards of final bag ideas

This image is showing ideas for my bag and I was inspired by collecting images of poppies and the gate is showing that we are walking threw memories and poppies are remembered to show people to have respect for those who lost lives in war. my message coming across in this image is that we should always remember the people who have lost their lives in war also was inspired by the dove with the armed Gillet on because doves represent peace and the dove is targeted to get shot at. Is that peace?
This image is my final image for my bag and i choose this bag because i thought it was very wearable and the poppies represented the memories of lost troops. The message i have communicated is that the gate is closed because we cant afford losing any more lives at war therefore the solider is walking beyond the gates looking for respect and peace while walking threw poppies.

This image is showing  the recently form in war today and what is meant by that is war is still on in todays world. The truck is showing people at base at war and the male in this photograph is a model but his shoot is a editorial shoot therefore is it contrasting the life of a model to life to war.

This image is showing the future of war and what i mean by that is the future should be peaceful and war should still not ongoing into the future. The poppies in this image was taking primary in Liverpool by my self and i put the poppies in this image because i thought in contrasted the peace and war together.

My ideas where inspired by war because i thought why is war still going on in todays world? when we have already lost millions of people throughout WW1,WW2 and even today were our loosing troops.
